So, I called my buddy Nathan Perkins before the west coast stretch and asked if he'd like to rally up to Nor-Cal and go hard for a few events before we head out east. I convinced him to join me at Salmon River Disc Golf Tournament. Once he arrived in Grass Valley, we got ahold of Peter McBride and asked him to join up as well. On the way up to "North" Cal, we stopped and played Kelly Ridge in Oroville, my newest course design. From there we took off to Weed, CA and decided to stop and stay with friend and amazing Disc Golfer JD Lee. He put us up, and fed us well, thank you JD! Your love for the game is mighty! The next morning we stopped for supplies and then headed off through the mountains out to Cecilville, which is completely off the grid. (although, apparently they have WiFi since last year)
What an amazing place! A true taste of the Wild west, the super cold Salmon River flowing strong through Cecilville was the only relief from 90 Degree plus weather over the weekend. I can go on and on for 10 more paragraphs, explaining all of the moments, and exhilarating experiences which can be found in Cecilville, but the best way to experience all that isn’t here on my website! You should find your way out there, (the road goes all the way) and thank me later!
